From its roots, as the Engineering Support section of EWS Railway, where the team was heralded for the effectiveness of the approach to commissioning and approval of a fleet of 250 new locomotives, ESG has developed a world class service for the introduction and commissioning of new vehicles.

ESG has developed relationships with key suppliers, operators, and owners, to provide a one-stop-shop for approvals, commissioning, and testing. ESG supports manufacturers and modifiers in the approval and design of products in the UK and Europe, specifying and performing type, series, and commissioning tests and scrutinising the design.

With a wealth of knowledge on approval processes and the possible pitfalls of testing, ESG understand the criticality of the product introduction process both to the manufacturer, and the operator. ESG are able to work for the manufacturer or the operator to proactively provide feedback, and drive the process forwards, adding value throughout the design and introduction progression.
