ESG provides a complete in-depth service in Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS) Management and Systems Engineering for railway engineering projects. ESG’s depth of understanding permits the level of RAMS Management and Systems Engineering activities to be planned correctly with an intuitive and cost sensitive approach; whilst defining and mitigating project risks.

ESG integrate RAMS Management and Systems Engineering into the full lifecycle i.e. from requirements initiation through design, installation, testing, commissioning, operation and decommissioning.

For a serious Engineering assessment of Design in the Rail Sector, it is imperative to have the ability to quantify the impact on a product for:

• Reliability - For a given product design, fit, form and performance that meets the needs and demands placed upon it, for a minimum defined period
• Availability - Ensuring that a product will provide a given repeatable suite or number of service repetitions, given a set level of routine attention
• Maintainability - A pre defined set of actions and checks to ensure the condition of the product is able to perform to an agreed standard
• Safety - Methods of providing assurance that a product, process, procedures and or people do not impart an unacceptable risk onto the infrastructure and or staff / passengers.
