Engineering Support Group, the pioneering consultancy provider of rail engineering solutions, has appointed a new Managing Director and a Chairman.
Martin Horsman has been appointed as Managing Director. He joins ESG from the consultancy firm Penmark Limited, where he was General Manager working with a range of clients including Axiom Rail. Martin has previously worked in various senior railway engineering management roles with a range of companies, including Bombardier Transportation.
As Managing Director, Martin will take ESG to the next stage of its development within the rail industry. The business has earned a reputation for developing innovate solutions for its clients within the UK, and now in France. With expansion into mainland Europe, Martin will lead ESG from being a UK success story, to an established and respected railway engineering consultancy across Europe.
Martin succeeds Dev Anand who has been appointed as Chairman and Chief Engineer of ESG and its sister company, Railway Approvals Limited. The appointment of Dev into these positions allows continuity of service for ESG’s existing customers. Dev will continue in both roles until he retires in 2010.
Martin Horsman, Managing Director of Engineering Support Group, said: “ESG is highly regarded within the rail sector as being the company you turn to for innovative engineering solutions. The ESG team is helping to create the railway of tomorrow and I look forward to taking the company forward within Britain, and also attracting new business across Europe.”
Dev Anand, Chairman of Engineering Support Group, said: “I am delighted that Martin has joined ESG as Managing Director. He brings with him a wide range of railway engineering experience that will allow ESG to continue growing. I have enjoyed working with our clients over the recent years, and I look forward to continuing this association through my new role as Chairman of ESG.” |
